同济大学建筑设计研究院成立于1958年，是全国知名的集团化管理的特大型甲级设计单位。持有国家建设部颁发的建筑、市政、桥梁、公路、岩土、地质、 风景园林、环境污染防治、人防、文物保护等多项设计资质及国家计委颁发的工程咨询证书，是目前国内设计资质涵盖面最广的设计单位之一。

　　经过近五十年的积累和进取，我院拥有了雄厚的设计实力、丰富的人力资源、先进的设计手段。全院现有职工860人，一级注册建筑师98名，一级注册结构工程师114名。1986年以来我院共有近200项设计作品获奖。

　　作为一所国际著名高校设计单位，我院非常重视建筑教育。培养了一大批硕士生、博士生。此外，我院具备丰富的对外交流合作经验，曾成功的与来自美国、加拿大、德国、法国、西班牙等国的著名事务所合作，并互派员工交流学习。

　　按ISO9001标准建立的质量保证体系通过中国SAC和美国RAB双重认证。自2001年起，与中国人民保险公司签订了每年累计赔偿一亿元人民币的工程设计险合同。我院有能力提供顶尖的设计产品和一流的咨询服务。

　　Introduction to the Architectural Design and Research　Institute of Tongji University

　　The Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tongji University, founded in 1958, is one of the leading design groups in China with the most comprehensive range of disciplines available in the country, allowing it to develop many types of design project. It holds design certificates issued by the State Ministry of Construction for China in architecture, municipal engineering, bridge engineering, highway engineering, geotechnical investigation, geology, landscaping, environmental engineering, civil air defence and cultural relic protection. It also holds an Engineering Consulting Certificate issued by the State Planning Committee.

　　The Design Institute has developed its strength in design, manpower and technology through its 50 years of experience. It employs 860 professionals including 98 State First Class Registered Architects and 114 State First Class Registered Structural Engineers. It has won nearly 200 prizes for its design work since 1986.

　　Affiliated to a well known university, the Design Institute has a tradition in architectural education. It has cultivated a number of graduate students. In addition, the Design Institute has successfully collaborated with many well known design firms from the United States, Canada, Germany, France and Spain etc. Exchange of staff is also part of the collaboration.

    　　The Design Institute has been approved to the ISO9001 Quality Assurance Standard by Shanghai Audit Centre and RAB, the American ISO assessment organization. In 2001, the Design Institute signed an Engineering Design Insurance Contract with PICC, one of the leading insurance companies in China. This gives total cover of 100 million RMB per annum.
